When I tried these pliers I wondered why I had been struggling for so long to fit split rings without proper pliers. A real plus point is that these pliers also cut mono and braid with ease.

I bought them out of season and spent a remarkably short amount of time replacing trebles on my favourite plugs before the new season. I also use them for split rings on articulate jig heads for soft plastics. The clip on attachment and lanyard work OK too. If there is one negative comment it would be that they are a blit bland coloured when you are looking for them in the bottom of a lure bag, but that is hardly the end of the world, is it?

They won't last for ever, but there again I like reasonably priced gear that I can wear out. It makes me feel like I am getting value for money. Why would I want to pay £200 for titanium pliers that will last longer than me? (Posted on 12/05/2008)
